CSUSM Sweeps Monterey Bay to Close Out 2025 Season
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (6-20, 5-13 CCAA) concluded its 2025 campaign with a sweep (25-13, 25-20, 25-23) over Cal State Monterey Bay (6-19, 5-13 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Set 1: CSUSM jumped out to a 4-1 lead behind two aces from Blair Keith and never looked back, using a 10-1 run to go up 15-6. The Cougars hit .387 and closed the frame on an Ebony Lewis kill for a 25-13 win.
- Set 2: The teams traded points early with 11 ties before CSUSM broke a 17-17 deadlock on a kill by Lewis. A late 4-0 run capped by a Annika Blas-Cedeno ace pushed the Cougars ahead 23-18, and Seligmiller sealed it at 25-20.
- Set 3: CSUSM stormed out to an 8-1 lead with two aces from Keith and one from Shelby Jackson, but CSUMB rallied to tie it at 22-22. Kranz delivered the final blow with her 16th kill to clinch the sweep, 25-23.

- The Cougars outblocked the Otters, 10-7.
- CSUSM also held the edge in kills (44-40), assists (40-32) and digs (54-51).
