Cougars Earn Point in 1-1 Draw Against Toros
CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (6-3-5, 3-2-2 CCAA) picked up a point with a 1-1 draw at Cal State Dominguez Hills (4-4-5, 2-1-4 CCAA) on Friday night at Toro Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM made it a 1-0 match in the 19th minute. After a battle for control of the ball in the box following the Cougars' second corner kick of the game, Brianna Delgado gained possession and put a shot into the upper right corner of the goal from around eight yards out.
- The Cougars were still up 1-0 after 45 minutes, outshooting the Toros by a 9-1 margin and taking the period's only two corner kicks.
- In the 57th minute of action after a CSUDH corner kick and scrum for the ball, Makenzie Hewison took possession in the middle of the box and put a low shot into the bottom left corner of the goal to knot the game at 1-1.

- Now with 11 points, CSUSM finished the day in a three-way tie for second in the CCAA standings with four games to go.
