COURSE REPORT: The No. 8 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team opened the 2025 NCAA National Championship on top of the leaderboard alongside Anderson (SC) with an 8-under 280 on Tuesday. The Cougars shot under par in the first round with Regan Barton leading the way with a 4-under 68.
FIRST TEE
- Barton tallied six birdies including four consecutive ones between holes 7 and 10 in the opening round and is in a four-way tie for third place.
- Madison Murr followed with a 3-under 69 and is in a five-way tie for seventh place.
- Kiara Hernandez also shot under par on day one, tallying a 2-under 70 and is tied for 11th place.
- Makenna Cabardo shot a 1-over 73 and is tied for 35th while Diana Delgado carded a 3-over 75 and is tied for 59th place.
