McManus Caps Cross Country Career at NCAA Division II Championships

COURSE REPORT: In crisp and cloudy weather, Angela McManus concluded her cross country career with a 147th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning. McManus ran a 6K time of 22:19.4

"We are so proud of Angela. She worked so hard to reach the national stage. There's nothing quite like the experience of cross country nationals. We are so happy she'll be able to bring this experience back to her teammates and into her track seasons."
 
FINISH LINE

  • McManus placed 147th in a field of 262 runners.
  • McManus is CSUSM's second individual to compete at the NCAA National Championships, following Lisa Flora's performance in 2018.
  • Adam State's Tristian Spence (20:11.0) was the individual champion.
  • Grand Valley State claimed the team title with 65 points, defeating Colorado School of Mines by four points.
  • Teams representing the West Regional were Chico State placed eighth with 306 points, followed by Stanislaus State (12th, 412 pts), Cal Poly Pomona (16th, 463 pts), Western Washington (18th, 470 pts) and Biola (22nd, 548).
