Cougars Drop Three to Purdue Northwest
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (1-5) fell to Purdue Northwest (2-3) in straight sets (27-25, 25-21, 25-23) on Friday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- First Set (27-25 PNW): CSUSM led 24-23 after a kill by Cooley, but Purdue Northwest responded with a kill and two consecutive service aces to take the set. Kranz and Goehring combined for 10 kills in the frame.
- Second Set (25-21 PNW): The Cougars jumped out to a 6-2 lead, but Purdue Northwest used a 7-1 run to regain control. Despite a late surge from CSUSM, PNW closed the set with a kill from Huelskamp.
- Third Set (25-23 PNW): CSUSM rallied from a 22-16 deficit to pull within one at 23-22, highlighted by kills from Ebony Lewis and Goehring. However, Purdue Northwest held on with a final kill from Allyson Cathey to seal the match.
