PORTLAND, Ore. – Ryan Meinardus of the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team was named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-West Region second team, the association announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The redshirt senior midfielder previously earned All-CCAA first-team honors after finishing the 2024 season with nine goals, two assists and 20 points. His goal total ranked fourth in the CCAA while three of his nine goals were game-winners, ranking fourth in the conference and 42nd nationally. The Placentia native led the conference in shots per game (3.83) and shots on goal per game (1.78), ranking 11th and 17th nationally in those categories, respectively.
Meinardus' nine goals for the season tied for the fourth most in a single season at CSUSM while his 20 points ranked fifth.
Meinardus is the first Cougar in program history to earn All-West Region honors from the D2CCA.
