Four Cougars Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Annika Blas-Cedeno, Shelby Jackson, Addison Kranz and Nelia Trower of the Cal State San Marcos volleyball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
The 2025 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 90% of the team's events or started in at least 66% of the team's contests. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-January.
