COURSE REPORT:  The No. 13 Cal State San Marcos men's golf team moved up three spots after the first round to sit in seventh place at the end of day one of the Chico State Wildcat Classic. The Cougars are nine stroke out of first place with a 2-over 578.  

FIRST TEE

• Cutter Ayres carded a 4-under 68 in the second round to jump up 23 spots and finish Monday with a 2-under 142 (74-68) and is tied for 11th place.
• Patrick Jaksch also moved up the leaderboard, sliding up nine spots to sit in a share of 25th place with a 1-over 144 (74-71).
• Jason McElroy made the largest move, jumping 29 spots and will enter the final round tied for 32 with a 3-over 147.
• Rising 14 spots, Nick Mouser carded a 4-over 148 (76-72) and is tied for 36 in his first collegiate tournament.
• Also tied for 36th, Arman Rahgozar carded a 4-over 148 (73-75).
