CSUSM Tabbed as No. 3 Seed in NCAA West Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team (38-20) will make its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Softball Championships as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA West Regional as announced on the NCAA Division II Softball Selection Show on Monday morning.

Top-seeded San Francisco State will serve as the NCAA West Regional host at SFSU Softball Field. 
 
The Cougars will face sixth-seeded Biola (38-19) in the first round on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. 
 
Joining the Cougars and Eagles at the same site will be top-seeded and host San Francisco State (37-18) and No.7-seeded Saint Martin's (32-14). 
 
The other West Regional pod consists of No. 1-seeded and host Cal State East Bay (38-13), No. 4-seeded Western Washington (40-10), No. 5-seeded Concordia University Irvine (40-14) and No. 8-seeded Sonoma State (36-23).        
 
This will be the third time the Cougars have faced the Eagles this season. CSUSM swept Biola in a rescheduled doubleheader on March 4 at CSUSM Softball field by scores of 7-5 and 3-1.
