CSUSM Outlasts Humboldt in Five-Set Thriller
Box Score ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (2-13, 1-6 CCAA) battled for a five-set comeback victory (22-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-11) at Cal Poly Humboldt for (1-14, 1-6 CCAA) its first CCAA win of 2025 on Thursday night at Lumberjack Arena in Arcata.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Set 1: The Jacks overcame a late 21–18 deficit with a 7–1 run. Humboldt closed the set 25–22 with a clutch finish.
- Set 2: The Jacks took control early and never trailed to win 25–17 and go up 2-0 in the match.
- Set 3: San Marcos built a steady lead and pulled away with a 6–1 run late. Tindall and Kranz led the charge at the net, and Santa Cruz's kill sealed the 25–17 win.
- Set 4: Humboldt led 17–13 before San Marcos erupted with a 12–1 run. A Kranz kill and a pair of aces by Keith clinched the match 25–18 to force a fifth set.
- SET 5: CSUSM jumped ahead early and held off a late Humboldt push, sealing the match with a kill from Kranz for a 15-11 victory.
