CSUSM Advances to CCAA Tournament Championship Game
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos (34-19) softball team punched its ticket to the CCAA Tournament Championship game with a 4-1 victory over Cal State East Bay on Friday afternoon at CSUSM Softball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Waymire hit a one-out triple off the left field wall in the first inning before scoring on Albayati's infield single to put CSUSM up 1-0.
- The Pioneers evened the game in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly by Adriana Martinez.
- The Cougars opened up the game in the top of the seventh with an RBI single up the middle by Donnelly before Waymire recorded a 2-RBI double off the right field wall to make it 4-1.
QUICK HITS
- Sloss (16-8) tossed her second consecutive complete game for her second win of the CCAA Tournament, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while fanning five batters.
- CSUEB's reliever Marissa Quintero took the loss after two innings in the circle, allowing three runs on five hits and walking none.
- Waymire recorded her eighth multi-RBI game, moving her into the third spot on the team.
- This is CSUSM's first appearance in the CCAA Tournament Championship game.
