POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (6-7, 3-5 CCAA) fell 81-47 to No. 13 Cal Poly Pomona (13-1, 8-0 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CPP opened the game on a 9-0 run capped by an Alexis Woodson layup at 4:15 of the first quarter.
- Kristan Yumul hit a three at 4:07 to get CSUSM on the board, making it 9-3.
- Kadence Lloyd answered with a three at 3:42, and Brielle Minor's second triple at 2:48 pushed CPP ahead 15-3.
- Madison Eade's jumper with nine seconds left closed the first quarter at 17-3 in favor of CPP.
- CSUSM trimmed the margin to 23-6 early in the second on a Sydney Hani three at 8:49, but CPP responded with a 14-4 surge to lead 37-14 after a Hunter Hudson layup at 2:45.
- The Broncos took a 44-16 lead into halftime after shooting 52.9% in the second quarter.
- CSUSM opened the third with a Tatum Tamashiro layup at 9:28, but CPP maintained control, stretching the lead to 60-30 by the end of the period.
- Leiva scored 11 of her team-high 16 points in the fourth, including three triples, but CPP's balanced attack sealed the 81-47 final.
- CSUSM shot 26.6% from the field (17-of-64) and 30.4% from three (7-of-23). while CPP shot 42.9% overall (30-of-70) and 38.5% from three (5-of-13).
- The Broncos dominated the glass, 58-35, and held a 14-9 edge in second-chance points.
- Points in the paint (38-20) and fastbreak points (12-2) favored CPP.
- CSUSM had a slight edge in bench scoring over CPP, 36-33.
