The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (2-0-5, 0-0-2 CCAA) had to settle for a scoreless draw in its conference home opener against Cal State San Bernardino (2-2-2, 1-0-1 CCAA) on Sunday at The Cage.

The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (4-7, 1-3 CCAA) battled No. 4 Fresno Pacific (11-0, 3-0 CCAA) through a tightly contested opening set before falling in straight sets (20-25, 10-25, 15-25) Saturday afternoon at the Special Events Center.

The Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team placed sixth out of 25 teams in the Invitational 8K race at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning, totaling 235 points. The Cougars also competed in the Open 8K race, where four CSUSM runners took part.

The Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed 20th out of 30 teams in the Invitational 6K race at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning, totaling 572 points. The Cougars also competed in the Open 5K division, placing 23rd out of 32 teams with 634 points.
